When we were commissioned to design this 5-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom family residence in Pennydale, the brief was clear, deliver a home that could grow with a family without ever compromising on luxury or liveability.
The street presence sets an immediate tone, a crisp rendered façade contrasted against a bold vertical timber-clad garage wall and double volume, creating a composition that is at once restrained and confident. A generous landscaped forecourt softens the approach, drawing visitors towards a pivoting front door that signals the considered detailing within.
Inside, hand-scraped European Oak floors run throughout the open-plan ground level, where the vast living and dining zone anchors everyday family life. A soaring two-storey void floods the rear of the home with natural light, framing the kitchen, with its Caesarstone benchtops, full Smeg appliance suite, integrated Liebherr refrigeration, and concealed butler's pantry. The linear gas fireplace set within its polished Venetian surround provides warmth and drama in equal measure.
Upstairs, the master suite commands a private retreat, a freestanding black bath on a raised timber platform, dual vessel basins, and atmospheric pendant lighting. A second master suite on the ground floor, concealed behind a secret doorway, adds a rare level of flexibility.
