The project's key challenge was integrating a contemporary two-story addition while preserving the home's traditional streetscape. By strategically recessing the first-floor level and carefully selecting contrasting cladding materials, the design achieves a delicate balance between old and new. The original façade remains prominent, while the addition introduces a fresh architectural narrative.

Inside, the home underwent a remarkable spatial transformation. The ground floor features a sophisticated open-plan layout with a master bedroom, dedicated study, and expansive kitchen-living area overlooking the rear landscape. The first-floor addition houses three bedrooms and a rumpus room, highlighted by a dramatic double-height staircase window and an inventive curved bathroom wall.
